This is a historical building in downtown Duluth MN that Johnston Masonry was contacted to repair.  We did a full inspection of the building face and found that the highly detailed Terra Cotta façade was extremely deteriorated. With expertise of our masons that have been through extensive training on building restoration and specifically Terra Cotta restoration we brought the historical façade back to life.

The parapet was deteriorated to a point that it was in danger of falling off the building. With careful planning we came up with a plan to remove the parapet and rebuild it to a shorter height using the original stone. Our masons again used their expertise and specialized training to repair the sandstone, rebuild the parapet and maintain the historical look of the building.
